TUPPER LAKE - Base Camp for the 10 Rivers Region -
Crossroads
of the Adirondacks
.Located
in the northwestern portion of the Adirondacks
the base camp for the "10
Rivers Region" at the "Crossroads of the Adirondacks" where scenic
Route 30 & Route 3 meet; is where you will find the friendly
community
of Tupper Lake. (map) Tupper Lake has a rich history
of pioneers, loggers, and Adirondack Guides.
A gentle rolling landscape of hills, lakes, ponds and
streams makes
this the headquarters for the "10 Rivers Region". From within a
30
mile distance in all directions one can explore the 10 major rivers
that
flow from within the Adirondack Park: Cold River - Raquette
River - Beaver
River - Marion
River - Oswegatchie
River - St.
Regis River - Bog
River - Grass
River & Saranac
River.
